Nigel Dodds is the Senior Partner of the firm and qualified in 1973, having trained in Local Government. He has very substantial and wide experience of litigation and advocacy including licensing. He remains a Duty Solicitor and a member of the Child Care Panel, but now concentrates on giving business advice. He is also involved in regulatory issues. He acts a consultant to Government departments and was recently a part of a Sino-British team advising on pre-trial procedures in China. He is also a Law Society Council member.

Susan Johnson from and educated in North Tyneside qualified in 1981. She was articled with Alderson Dodds and is now the partner in charge of the family department she is a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association and Law Society Family Law Panel. Susan Johnson is also the practice franchise head.

Paul Dunn is a committed North Easterner and a graduate of the renowned Nottingham University Law School qualifying in 1986. As head of the Crime department he has an extensive experience of all aspects of criminal law, he is a Duty Solicitor and a member of the Criminal Law Solicitors Association.

Graham Shannon is from the North East and qualified in 1991 being a graduate of the Universities of Essex and Northumbria. Graham’s areas of work include personal injury, civil litigation and employment. He is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel, Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Tracey Jane Waugh from and educated in Ponteland qualified as a solicitor in 1997. Tracey Waugh’s areas of work include Company Commercial and Civil Litigation specialising in debt recovery, debt counselling and insolvency. Other areas of work include family law, employment and consumer and general contract. She is also a member of the Association of Women Solicitors and the Young Solicitors Group.
